La Plagne ( near where we lived ) and Les Arcs merged into one ski area Paradiski. Since we had nowhere to hurry, we decided to carry out and here and there for a day. On the first day we went to Les Arcs, the more so before it was a stone's throw.
The resort is Les Arcs, because it consists of several hamlets: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000. From the town of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, which is located in a valley in Arc 1600 raises the train Funiculaire. Right near the station is free parking, where we left the car.
The first half-day sun was shining, so joy knew no bounds. The resort is good, but somehow was not enough wide flat trails. The people were not very many, probably suffered from the fact that on Saturday all leave / arrive.
On this day, the highest mountain Aiguille Rouge (3226m) lowered the avalanche. On the slope of laying bombs and blew up, so the lifts to the top were closed. In the afternoon included a lift Varet, which raised only to the middle, so at the very top, we have not got.
After lunch we got to break in Vallandry and Arc 1800 and Arc 1600. There is the forest area and the relief road could be seen better.
