Top 10 motors, the




The American publishing house Ward's Automotive Group has published the results of the annual competition for the title of the best engines in the U.S.. The award ceremony will be ten winners of the January 11 next year under the Motor Show in Detroit.




In October and November of this year, experts tested 36 vehicles with completely new or significantly upgraded units in the course of normal daily travel to Detroit. The engines were evaluated for capacity, availability of modern technology, fuel economy, as well as noise and vibration. No trials have been conducted instrumental.
The competition is allowed in the US-spec car and the cost of no more than 55 thousand dollars, which should appear at dealers within the first quarter of 2012.
As noted by the experts, this year, significantly increased the number of engines with direct fuel injection - seven out of ten. Did not have such technology: the unit in a hybrid Infiniti M35h, « Chrysler ... In addition, among the winners were five four-cylinder engines, while last year there were only three.
